Northwest Book Fair Introduction
I hope to share some of the background bits and pieces that are being put in place to make this book fair one that will be worthwhile to be a vendor or an attendee.
And while the event will take place at a larger venue than Covington Historic House it is still not going to be so big that vendors have too much competition.
Because what I most want for the vendors is that they have a successful time showcasing and selling their books.
Their is only space for 40 tables.
Authors can share a table for $35 or get a whole table for $70. At this point I will offer 20 tables for single vendor registration and 20 tables for sharing.
And this fair is not just for selling books . . . it is also for vendors that have book related items such as book bags, totes, clothing and gift items that relate in a literary way.
Authors can sell books and gifts at their space.
Why not?
Makes it more fun I think and offers visitors a chance to pick gifts for families and friends in addition to a book.
And what I want most for those that attend is that they find an enjoyable atmosphere that is warm, friendly with place, space and opportunity to engage with others.
KXRW is New Sponsor for Northwest Book Fair
KXRW.FM is the major sponsor for the Northwest Book Fair.
If you don’t know about KXRW.FM . . .
KXRW is an independent, volunteer-based, values-driven, community-supported organization that supports radio station KXRW-LP on 99.9FM.
The folks at KXRW are dedicated to delivering quality programming with an emphasis on local voices.
Committed to sharing knowledge and information to build a stronger community, based on inclusion, diversity and social justice in Southwest Washington and beyond.
This is super exciting for me, as my radio program, Northwest Book Talk has been a part of the KXRW team for a little over a year.

This year (2025) the event will take place at a larger venue than Covington Historic House but it is still not going to be so big that vendors have too much competition.
Because what I most want for the vendors is that they have a successful time showcasing and selling their books.
Their is space for 20 Single Tables & 20 Shared Tables
Authors can share a table for $35 or get a whole table for $70. If you want to share a table with someone you must each register separately (even if one of you pays for a full table). Just let me know.
At this point I will offer 20 tables for single vendor registration and 20 tables for sharing.
There will also be space on the front lawn for Pop-up tents which is still in the planning stages.
And this fair is not just for selling books . . . it is also for vendors that have book related items such as book bags, totes, clothing and gift items that relate in a literary way.
Craft & Gift Vendor Registration for Northwest Book Fair
Registration opens January 1, 2025
But this fair is not just about selling books
It is also for vendors that have book related items such as book bags, totes, clothing and gift items that relate in a literary way.
Or truthfully just plain craft and gift vendors that find the literary crowd have some of the same target audience they want to connect to.
Authors are welcome to combine books and gifts at their space.
Attending the Northwest Book Fair
Registration opens January 1, 2025
Authors, crafters and gift sellers are very important to make this event a success . . .
But the Biggest Push?
To attract a lot of fun-loving, book crazy addicted (thinking of myself here) people who want to support local Northwesters.
So . . .
Planning for fun, family things like Book Bingo with book prizes – and more. (Yeah, still in the thinking stage here).
Workshops for new writers and those who want to “up” their game.
With lots of opportunity to meet and talk with authors, book signings, and grab some free stuff that many authors share such as bookmarks, postcards, and little fun things like erasers and pens.
