The Northwest Book Fair & Media Fest will be held at Clark College,  serving Vancouver, Washington since 1933.

Known for breaking down barriers to quality education, Clark College provides an inspiring setting that reflects the event’s spirit of creativity, learning, and connection.

Nestled near historic Fort Vancouver, the campus offers spacious, accessible facilities and a welcoming atmosphere—making it the perfect place for authors, readers, and media creators to gather, share stories, and celebrate Northwest talent.

Patty Grasher is the heart, vision, and driving force behind the Northwest Book Fair & Media Fest, which she created to celebrate Northwest authors, connect communities, and support local media.

As the fair’s founder and director, and host of Northwest Book Talk on KXRW 99.9 FM Vancouver, Patty brings together her lifelong love of storytelling and her dedication to service.

Her leadership has helped grow the event into a welcoming, inspiring gathering that bridges books, radio, and the creative spirit of the Pacific Northwest.

Susan Galaviz, founder and president of KXRW 99.9 FM Vancouver, shares a deep commitment to community and the power of local storytelling.

Through her leadership, KXRW has become a trusted nonprofit platform for connection, creativity, and diverse voices.

As a key partner of the Northwest Book Fair & Media Fest, Susan and KXRW amplify the event’s mission, helping bring stories, authors, and audiences together across Southwest Washington.

Northwest Book Fair Returns July 19 with 60+ Authors, Workshops, and Community Fun

VANCOUVER, WA — The Northwest Book Fair returns on Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 10 AM to 3 PM at the historic Fort Vancouver Artillery Barracks for a full day of literary celebration, local creativity, and family-friendly fun.

With more than 60 local authors from across the Pacific Northwest, this free event invites readers of all ages to discover new books, attend live workshops, and connect with writers from every genre — including memoir, mystery, fantasy, history, children’s literature, and more.

Event highlights include:

  • A pop-up tent village with local authors and vendors
  • Participation by Fort Vancouver Regional Libraries as part of their 75th anniversary
  • Kids' activities and hands-on, author-led workshops
  • Raffle drawings, giveaways, and prizes throughout the day
  • Community radio presence from KXRW 99.9 FM, the event’s nonprofit sponsor
“Books are the best,” says organizer and radio host Patty Grasher. “They open us up to new adventures, expand our horizons, and build bridges that connect us from the past to the future.”
